The Most Lopsided Duos Ever

Duos. Everyone loves a good team, but for every iconic pairing such as peanut butter & jelly, Laurel & Hardy, or Han Solo & Chewbacca, there are hundreds of pairings that just don't work. And sometimes, there are terrible pairs that against the odds do work, thanks to one-half of the duo carrying the load. This week, Web-Tex takes a look at some of the most lopsided duos in history.

The Gretzky Hockey Brothers

Wayne Gretzky may very well be the most dominant athlete of all-time. Sure, we hear phrases such as "he's like the Michael Jordan of accounts receivable paperwork", you never hear anyone in sports compared to Wayne Gretzky because no one can be compared to the level of dominance he achieved when it comes to individual performance, breaking 61 NHL records in 20 seasons. However, Wayne wasn't the only professional hockey player his parents produced. His younger brother Brent, was a 3rd round pick for the Tampa Bay Lightning, but spent the majority of his career in various professional leagues overseas. Talk about a large shadow.



Keanu Reeves & Gary Oldman in Bram Stroker's Dracula

Bram Stroker's Dracula is a great movie directed by Francis Ford Coppola and closely adhering to the source material. However, the main cast gives a pretty lopsided performance. As much as we love the star of John Wick & The Matrix, he certainly was not at his best for this movie and when sharing the screen with the always impressive Gary Oldman, it really showed. Safe to say Gary Oldman did the heavy-lifting when it came to performing in this movie.


Braun Strowman & Some Kid

The world of wrestling has produced some pretty lopsided tag teams over the years, such as Hulk Hogan teaming with Brutus Beefcake or the Hardcore legend Mankind & Al Snow, but we think the time "The Monster Among Men" teamed up with a random kid from the crowd to become Tag Team Champions takes the cake for lopsided duos. At Wrestlemania 34 Braun Strowman went into the crowd and came back with a 10-year old named Nicholas as his partner for a match against Cesaro & Sheamus. The pair emerged victorious as the new Tag Team Champs, only to relinquish them later due to 'scheduling conflicts' (Nicholas had to go back to school). Definitely, Strowman did the heavy-lifting in this pair, but we will always tip our hat to former champion Nicholas.
